What is the Certified Maintenance Specialist (CMS) Certification?
Designed for those new to the pool industry or working a pool maintenance route, the Certified Pool & Spa Maintenance Specialist (CMS) course takes you through the PHTA Service Tech Manual and provides knowledge of industry standards for safety, pool circulation and filtration, pool maintenance, and water quality, as well as an introduction to electrical systems, pool structures and finishes, heaters and controls, and customer service. Whether you are looking to increase your certification collection or simply to get a better understanding of everything to do with pools this course will take you deeper and grant you a thorough understanding off all systems and processes.

Exam Information
The CMS Exam is 1.5 hours long, open book, with 75 multiple-choice questions. You must bring a non-programmable calculator. You must score 75% or better to pass.
